We sat down to make them and had such a good time together!
Clove Orange Ornaments
Whole Cloves (about 1/4 cup per orange)
Metal or wood skewer, meat thermometer, etc. to poke holes in the orange.
Cut 2 lengths of ribbon, about 12 inches each, make an “X”, placed the orange over it, wrapped the ribbon up around it and stick a straight pin in to hold the ribbon in place. Tie the remainder of the ribbon into a loop to hang the ornament.
Use something with a point, like a meat thermometer, to poke holes in the orange, about 1/4 inch deep. This makes it much easier to push the cloves in, especially for the little helpers.
These last about a month. If you wish for them to last longer, use more cloves and cover all the orange in cloves, it should last all winter making the house smell delicious!
