12 Months of Decluttering Charts


Are you committed to decluttering this year?

Ever stood in your home, wanting to be free of clutter, but not knowing where to start or even how to start?

Let these charts be your guide. Do something small every day, place the current chart on the fridge next to your 2014 in 2014 chart and you will be encouraged as you start to see items being checked off, boxes being filled and removed from the house, and clean clear spaces pleasantly popping up.

I’ve created 12 checklists to walk you through decluttering your entire house this year. Each month a different room is targeted.

I lived once, in a house full of clutter. No surface was free, no counters were cleared. The weight of all that stuff crowded my heart and soul. But little by little I got rid of stuff. I started seeing clean spaces and open counters. And I was free! I liked it so much, I became a die-hard minimalist!

I want you to experience the same freedom and peace that comes with having a clean clear home. And even as a minimalist, I have to look at each item we have in our home and make sure that it is useful or beautiful and not wasting space.

Of course, when we decide to make this big of a change in our lives, we want it to happen quickly.
But exhausting yourself over one weekend of intense decluttering only leads to frustration and quickly overwhelms our efforts.

Instead, we need to work diligently, each day, for 15-30 minutes. Just one drawer or one shelf at a time. This is not a quick sprint. It’s a marathon race. One needs a good pace to continue and follow through to the end.

Let’s not have those New Year’s Resolutions fall short in February. Instead, commit to yourself to have a different home by the end of the year. Work each day, each month and when 2015 rolls around, you will be a different person. With more free time, more free space and a more peaceful mind.

      Whoops, sorry – and will you be revising these lists at all? I don’t want to get them then find out they’ve been changed somehow. Thank you!

        Hi Melody, these 12 months are set, not dated or geared toward a specific year (you don’t even have to follow the order in the months I have, if you don’t want to!). So I will not be revising them. I will have a new check off list for “2015 in 2015”, but if you are signed up for my email you will receive that in your inbox the end of December. 🙂

    Hello,

    Do you offer a preview of one of these checklists? The words are so tiny on my screen in the picture in this blog that I can’t read them…would like to have some idea of what I’m getting before I pay the $5 🙂
