4 large good baking apples (I used Gala)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup water
Use a paring knife to cut out first the stem area, and then the core. Use a spoon to dig out the seeds. Make the holes about 3/4-inch to an inch wide.
Mix stuffing (except for water), fill each apple as much as possible. Place in baking dish. Add water to baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
