2014 in 2014 Decluttering Challenge
Do you want to make a dent in the amount of possessions you have?
Last year 628 people downloaded the decluttering chart. Let’s beat it this year! Are you ready to get rid of 2014 things?
Come and join the challenge!!
Subscribe to the Nourishing Minimalism Mailing List and receive a free printable chart!
Each time you get rid of an item, put an “X” on a square (or black it out, depending on who’s helping check the boxes!!)
The rules are your own: If you have a stack of magazines to get rid of, you may count it as one item, or you can count each magazine as an item. The point is just to get rid of it.
Keep the chart on the front of the refrigerator or a cupboard where you can watch your progress and keep motivated.
If you have children, get them involved! Let them mark the boxes. Use different colors for different family members so they can see how much they contributed!
Plan out a celebration after each hundred is reached.
Share with each other on the 2014 in 2014 Facebook group page and with Nourishing Minimalism on Facebook and tell us what you have been able to get rid of! Let’s be each other’s cheerleaders!
Want even more? I’ve created 12 checklists to walk you through decluttering your entire house this year. Each month a different room is targeted. Click here to and check them out!
Don’t forget: Subscribe to Nourishing Minimalism newsletter to receive your free printable chart!!

Taking the declutter challenge.
I need this for sure!
I’m in too!
If you are already subscribed, how do you get the chart??
I will be sending out a newsletter within the next 2 days that has a link to download the new chart.
I’m taking the challenge!
I’m in! I need this so much!
Finally, a group of like minded women to encourage each other to minimize our “stuff”. Not just another system to purchase to help you “organize” all that stuff.
I am in, I can’t wait to see how many boxes I can get checked off with just Christmas stuff!
We need to try this too! It seems like there are more things laying around every time I blink!
My SIL told me about it, and at first I laughed, but when I counted the pile of post-Christmas purge items and found I was already nearing 40, I figured I might as well join in! Here we go!
Glad you’re joining us!
Taking the challenge
I’m up for the challenge and I’m going to get my granddaughter involved too.
I am joining the challenge!
Excellent! Glad to have you!
I’m joining too. Better late than never 🙂
I am taking the challenge!
Yay! Glad to have you join us!
I know I am starting this WAY late, but I am gonna do this too!! I have a massive pile of kiddie stuff (clothes, baby items, etc) that will be going into a consignment sale by the end of this month and am working my way through the house weeding out other stuff. After having a baby last year, then breaking my foot and being off of it for four months, then taking kids to swim lessons four days a week for five weeks…well, the house is showing the need for some attention and decluttering. I HAVE worked on my wardrobe, as I have been doing Project 333 since May, but yeah…my house desperately needs decluttering!! Just spent an hour or so on my son’s room going through toys and have a small pile to get rid of and yesterday went through my daughter’s room and pulled a few things she has outgrown. Ready to really start tackling stuff though!!
We are going to start this week…TOMORROW! I might count some stuff we got rid of yesterday too because this week we have kind of been in a declutter and organizational mode. I am so ready to have a home that I can relax in and not feel stressed all the time about the clutter! Brining a new baby home in 3 1/2 weeks and she will be our third and we live in a 1086 square foot townhouse that we will be in for a very long time. I want to enjoy our time here and not feel cramped!
Will you be doing a challenge in 2015?
Yes, I will. If you are signed up for my newsletter I will send out a chart around the beginning of January.
