Avocado Chocolate Mousse

I love treats that are healthy but don’t taste like it!! Avocados are full of healthy fats- excellent for all ages!
And if you know someone who doesn’t care for avocados… well, they won’t have a clue they are eating them!
Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients:
5 ripe avocados
1 cup cocao powder
3/4 cup maple syrup*
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Directions:
Peel and remove the seed of the avocados. Put avocado flesh into food processor, add the rest of the ingredients and pulse on high until smooth and fully mixed.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
*If you enjoy a dark chocolate taste, only use 1/2 cup maple syrup.
Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup maple syrup
Directions:
Put heavy cream into mixing bowl, mix on high with a hand mixer or immersion blender with whisk attachment, until it begins to get stiff and peaks form when beaters are lifted. Mix in maple syrup.
You can store both in the fridge until ready to serve or place in serving dishes and chill until ready to serve. Serves 6.
See if anyone can guess what the secret ingredient of their desert is!

I am not a maple syrup fan. How much of the maple syrup taste comes through in the dessert?

I don’t notice a maple taste- but I love maple, so I might not notice. Real maple syrup isn’t a strong maple flavor though, not like the corn syrup with maple flavoring syrups in the store.
I use maple over honey in most of my desserts, because I feel like the honey flavor overwhelms the other flavors.
