Simplify the Holidays

Why are some people able to smile, anticipating the holidays with joy in their hearts, while others are facing them with tight chests and anxious minds?

Why are some people able to get their shopping done, presents wrapped and cards sent by Dec. 1, while others are staying up past midnight on Christmas Eve trying to get everything ready for the next day?

Why are some people able to sit and read the Nativity Story with their children, in what seems to be an immaculately clean model home, while others find themselves yelling at the kids and knee deep in toys, laundry, and junk mail?

When I was a young mother I had no idea how to keep house, so not only was everyday life overwhelming and unmanageable, the holiday came rushing through like a bulldozer at high speeds and after the holidays passed there was even more of a disorganized mess as I scrambled to find more places in our already-stuffed house to put all the new excess that we were now burdened with.

I found how to make the holidays different, how to eliminate the things that aren’t important and how to actually enjoy the season with my children and that is what I want to share with you in this quick video course: Simplify the Holidays.

Discover how to simplify every area of holiday prep and planning so you can cut back on all the time and energy spent on shopping, wrapping, giving and receiving gifts. You’ll be able to write out a game plan, get your gifts prepared and sitting under the tree, so you can spend the days leading up to the holidays in a calm way with people you love.

So, if you’re a mom of young children, but you aren’t experiencing the true joy of the holidays with your family, or if you’re a grandmother that is not getting quality time with your children and grandchildren, stay with me, because you are going to discover how loving parents like you and I can create cherished holiday experiences and why it’s critical that you have harmony through the holidays.

My goal is simple, to help you easily and calmly move through the holidays.

We are retired, no children so what we do is nothing. We spend the holiday season organizing the tax papers for the tax man. Spring cleaning like window washing and pressure washing the patio. Try also to avoid the craziness of shopping that time of year. I do make some food baskets for several people. May do some baking also.

I’m so happy to have this! As a 70-yo Gramma with little three GRANDbabes now, there is much I want to do (read “know how to do”) not only during the holidays, but throughout the year. Thanks Rachel!!
