Clothing Challenge Month Week 4

23 Items to donate

We made it through the month!!

Here is what my closet looks like:
35 items hanging up, 23 items to donate.

I have kept:
9 short sleeve shirts (button & fitted v-neck)
7 fitted long sleeve v-neck shirts
6 layering tank tops
5 pants/shorts/capris

35 Items hanging in my closet.

3 skirts
1 fleece sweater
1 jacket
1 coat
2 dresses

I have removed 23 items to give away. I just don’t wear them and have no excuses to keep them.

Keep in mind, my total of 35 items does not include socks, underwear, accessories or shoes. Right now, we are just focusing on what is hanging and crowding our closets.
Last week, I challenged you to think about your style and which items are your in main “go-to” outfits.

Being in clothing that makes you feel good, comfortable and attractive goes a long way in minimizing your wardrobe.

I can attest to getting more compliments on the small amount of clothing I have now as opposed to when I had a closet full.

It will happen when you have clothes that fit well and flatter your body type.

Start pulling out the clothes that didn’t get worn this month. Some will be an easy decision to get rid of, others you may need to try on and look in the mirror.

Be honest with yourself when you look in the mirror. Dress for your body type now, not what you wish it to be. With a smaller wardrobe it won’t be expensive to replace items if your shape changes.

(Always replace items, that means when you buy something new, get rid of something old.)

Let go of dreams if you need to. Grieve the “I want to fit into this someday clothes”, “the super-amazing-90% off $300.00- but didn’t fit clothes”, whatever it is. You know what needs to go. Give yourself permission. Donate them and let someone else enjoy them.

And enjoy the extra space in your closet! Thanks for joining me this month!

Leave a comment and tell us how many items you kept and gave away.
