Roasted Chicken

Our family loves roasted chicken. Our youngest 2 love the legs and after the meat is gone, they ask for us to break the bones so they can eat the marrow. How great is that?! The smoked paprika makes this chicken smell and taste absolutely wonderful!

Roasted Chicken

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter
Directions:
Remove chicken from package, wash in cold water, removing organ meats and neck. Place in baking dish. If you want to cook the organ meats and neck, place them along side the chicken in the pan. Sprinkle on seasoning. Drizzle melted coconut oil or butter over the chicken. Place in 350 degree F oven and bake for 3 hours.
Note: you can bake it for less, but this comes out tasty and falling off the bone, so this is the way we enjoy it.

I buy smoked paprika by the pound. I love it!

Do you cover the chicken at all during baking??

I don’t. The top skin is crispy, but they have never been dry.
