Real Food Candy Canes are a perfect real food treat for the kiddos during the holiday months. Not that it has to be the holidays to enjoy a real food candy cane!
My kids love decorating their plates with food. It gives them a sense of accomplishment to make things for themselves and the rest of the family.
Real Food Candy Canes are great for:
- A special treat to wake up to on Christmas morning.
- A snack for Christmas Eve.
- Something fun to leave out for Santa, instead of cookies.
- A dessert kids can help you make.

Love this idea! I would love to do this for my son’s class Christmas parties. Any ideas on how to make them up ahead of time and use something to hold the slices together? Thanks!
I’m not sure! You would want to dip the bananas in salt water or water/lemon juice to make sure they don’t turn brown. Maybe wrap them in plastic wrap or string them on a string, but I think it would be hard to keep them in a candy cane shape.
Brilliant idea! They’re perfect for festive celebrations. Fresh and nutritious indeed. Keep it up!
wonder if you could use a bendy drinking straw the thread them onto.
