How about throwing together some simple Grinch kabobs for your next holiday get-together? These adorable little snacks are bound to get people talking. These are such a hit with the kids, they love making them and eating them, which means it’s also a fun afternoon activity to keep them occupied for a few quiet minutes before they eat them all.
One of our Christmas traditions is to watch The Grinch. Both the cartoon and the Jim Carrey version. And you better believe I make up a batch of these to snack on, because, they are simply fun!
Even if your child isn’t a fan of these fruits, often times they will eat them, if they are the ones that put them together.
This also makes for a great low-sugar treat to serve at kids parties, no need for artificial food coloring or overly sugar-filled cookies and cupcakes, just serve these cute little Grinch kabobs!
If needed, they still look cute without marshmallows!
Grinch Kabobs Ingredients:
Green Grapes
Strawberries
Bananas
Mini Marshmallows (Make your own marshmallows with honey)
Toothpicks (Buy bamboo toothpicks here) Directions:
Wash grapes and strawberries. Slice bananas and cut of the green end of the strawberries. Poke a toothpick into the top of the grape, thread on a banana slice, then the strawberry top, followed by the mini marshmallow.

Those are absolutely adorable, and we watch The Grinch every year too. Thanks for sharing. I rarely dream up cute things like that so I really appreciate those who do and who share.
I love these ideas. I’m putting together a round up of healthy festive ideas for the holidays. It will be published in mid December on Simply Healthy Eats.com. I was wondering if I can use the photo of the finished Grinch kabobs on my site with a link back to yours for the instructions. Thanks for your consideration.
Hi,
I love this kid-friendly recipe. I am writing a blog post about using storybooks and recipes in speech therapy and would love to highlight your grinch kabobs from this post. May I use the image of the finished kabobs in my post with a link back to you? Thanks for your consideration of this request 🙂

Ooh, I want to do this. Although I might have to use peeled kiwis instead of grapes, just cuz I love them and need more excuse to eat them.
Is there a way to preserve the fruit a few hours before the party?
I haven’t done it with bananas, but I’ve often given sliced apples a quick dip in lightly salted water and it keeps them from turning brown.
How do you keep the bananas from browning?Lemon Juice???
We eat them too fast, but if I had to wait to serve them, I would dip them in lemon juice or salt water.

You can give them a quick dip in salt water. But we normally just eat them right away. 🙂
