November Decluttering Themes
Here are a few ideas for your November Mins Game to keep things interesting and topical.
Like-new
Scour your house for unopened or like-new items that you just never ended up using. November’s a great time to hunt for these as a decluttering opportunity, because you might be able to repurpose them as Christmas presents, gift basket items, or donations for local toy drives.
This kind of mindset specificity can help you see some clutter in a new light, allowing you to let go of more.
Autumn decor swap-out
You might be swapping Autumnal decor for winter and Christmas decorations in November. If so, take this opportunity to evaluate what you used, what you loved, and what you feel cranky about having to put away again.
These transitional times are perfect for decluttering those categories that we’re already going to be handling.
Soup scoop
Sort and declutter your soup, stew, and chili-related implements, like:
- pots
- slow cookers
- ladles
- bowls
- pot holders
Snow patrol
If you live in a snowy area, now might be the perfect time to clear out your boots, coats, and other winter gear.
- winter clothing and accessories
- outerwear
- skiing and snowboarding gear
- snowshoes and boots
- outdoor snow activities
- shovels, salts, tire chains
