Back in 2008, I took a challenge: to get rid of 2008 things that year.
I KNEW I needed to get rid of stuff, but I never got rid of ENOUGH to make a difference- until I began doing this challenge every year.
In 2012 when I started this blog, I introduce this challenge to my readers and the response has been phenomenal!
The challenge attracts more people each year and in my FREE Facebook group: Nourishing Minimalism Yearly Decluttering Challenge there are currently 37,784 members and growing every week!
The rules are simple: for every item you remove from your home, you put a checkmark on your tally sheet. 5 coffee cups leave = 5 boxes are checked.
Feel free to use certain colors for different family members, rooms of the house or months that you declutter.
The tally chart is there to motivate you so you can see how much you have accomplished!
So far, I have removed 21,082 items from my home.
The relief I have found in living with less is transformational. I want you to feel the same peace and enjoy clear surfaces too!
